Ways to connect
A company admin connects Google Search Console from the Integrations page in Everdeck. Keys, tokens and secrets are encrypted before they're stored, and the connection's Test button checks it works before any agent uses it.
Every way in uses an app you create with Google Search Console, so access stays under your control. The setup guide walks you through it.
-
Google service account Service account
Create a service account or key of your own with Google Search Console and paste it into Everdeck. The connection then works without anyone signing in each time.
-
Your Google OAuth app Your OAuth app
Create an OAuth app of your own with Google Search Console, paste its client ID and secret into Everdeck, then sign in to Google Search Console and approve access. Access runs through your own app, never one Everdeck shares with other customers.
What agents can do with Google Search Console
An agent can only use the actions its charter grants. Each action has a risk tier, and the tier decides whether it runs on its own, asks first or always asks a person.
Runs on its own 9
Looking things up, writing to Everdeck's own records and changes one step can undo. Once an agent's charter grants one of these, it runs without asking, unless you set it to Ask first in the charter or one of your approval rules covers it.
-
List properties Tier 0 · Read Outside content
List the Search Console properties these credentials can see, with the permission level on each (siteOwner, siteFullUser, siteRestrictedUser; siteUnverifiedUser means no access).
-
Query search performance Tier 0 · Read Outside content
Clicks, impressions, CTR (0 to 1) and average position, grouped by any of query, page, country (ISO 3166-1 alpha-3, for example sgp), device (DESKTOP, MOBILE, TABLET), searchAppearance and date, with optional filters. Dates are YYYY-MM-DD in Pacific Time. Rows are sorted by clicks, or by date when grouped by date; each row's keys follow the order of dimensions.
-
Top search queries Tier 0 · Read Outside content
The searches that showed the site most, ranked by clicks, with impressions, CTR (0 to 1) and average position for a date range (YYYY-MM-DD, Pacific Time).
-
Top pages in search Tier 0 · Read Outside content
The site's pages ranked by clicks from Google Search, with impressions, CTR (0 to 1) and average position for a date range (YYYY-MM-DD, Pacific Time).
-
Queries for one page Tier 0 · Read Outside content
The searches that led to one page (exact URL as Google lists it), ranked by clicks, with impressions, CTR and position. Use it to see what a page ranks for.
-
Search performance by day Tier 0 · Read Outside content
Clicks, impressions, CTR and average position for each day in a range, oldest first. With data_state all, metadata.first_incomplete_date marks where numbers may still change.
-
Check a page's index status Tier 0 · Read Outside content
Whether Google has indexed a URL (verdict PASS, NEUTRAL meaning excluded, or FAIL), the coverage state, last crawl time, robots.txt and noindex status, Google's chosen canonical versus the page's own, and detected rich results. Reflects the indexed version, not a live test. The URL must belong to the property.
-
List sitemaps Tier 0 · Read Outside content
Sitemaps submitted for the property with when Google last read each one, whether it is still pending, its error and warning counts and how many URLs it lists.
-
Submit a sitemap Tier 2 · Reversible Outside content
Submit (or resubmit) a sitemap so Google reads it again, for example after publishing new pages. The sitemap URL must be on the property's site.
Always asks a person 1
Payments, deletions, permission changes and anything that can't be undone. A person approves every use, and no charter or approval rule can switch that off.
-
Remove a sitemap Tier 4 · Money or irreversible Outside content
Remove a sitemap from the property's sitemap report. Google stops reading it from Search Console; it does not delete the file or remove pages from search.
Actions marked Outside content return what people outside your company may have written, such as emails or comments. Agents treat it as information to check, never as instructions.
What can start work
Set a trigger up on the Intake page, and your rules there turn what arrives into tasks for your agents.
-
Once a day, clicks, impressions, CTR and position for the last 7 days with complete data, so an agent can report and flag drops.
Everdeck checks Google Search Console every day.
-
Once a day, the status of submitted sitemaps (errors, warnings, still pending), so an agent can flag problems.

Work an agent can take on
Examples for apps in Analytics & data. What an agent does with Google Search Console depends on the actions you grant it.
- Write a weekly summary of traffic, sign-ups or other numbers you watch.
- Answer a question like "which pages brought the most visitors last month?" from your data.
Set it up
The Google Search Console setup guide walks through each way to connect: what to set up first and the fields to fill in, then how to start work from its triggers on the Intake page.
Google Search Console is a separate service with its own terms. Everdeck isn't affiliated with or endorsed by it.
