Company files
The files agents read and save while they work, where to find them, and how to download or delete them.
Some apps' actions read or save files: an email's attachment, a spreadsheet, a document to send for signature. When an agent fetches a file from one app, Everdeck keeps it as a company file, so the agent can hand it to another app's action in the same task. Company files belong to one company, and an agent in another company can never open them.
Where to find them
- On a task's page, the Files card lists what agents read or saved for that task.
- On a session's page, the same card lists the files that session saved. See Activity, audit log and sessions.
Each file shows its type, size, when it was saved, and who saved it with which tool. Select its name to download it. The card also says how much of the company's space all its files use. Downloads always save to your device; Everdeck never opens a file inside the app. When an agent gives a file to an app that fetches it from a link, the link is signed and short-lived.
Everyone in the company who can see tasks can download its files.
Limits
Each file can be up to 10 MB, and a company's files together up to 1 GB. When the company is full, actions that save files are refused until some are deleted.
Files are kept as long as your plan keeps session history, counted from when each was saved:
- Starter: 30 days
- Growth: 90 days
- Scale: 365 days
Delete a file
People who can create and move tasks (operators, managers and company admins) can Delete a file, after confirming it's them. Its downloads stop working at once, for people here and for any app an agent sent a link to. This can't be undone.
Making a link for an app and deleting a file are recorded in the company's audit log.
