Ways to connect
A company admin connects Cal.com from the Integrations page in Everdeck. Keys, tokens and secrets are encrypted before they're stored, and the connection's Test button checks it works before any agent uses it.
-
API key API key
Copy a key or token from Cal.com and paste it into Everdeck.

Your Cal.com OAuth client Your OAuth app
Create an OAuth app of your own with Cal.com, paste its client ID and secret into Everdeck, then sign in to Cal.com and approve access. Access runs through your own app, never one Everdeck shares with other customers.
What agents can do with Cal.com
An agent can only use the actions its charter grants. Each action has a risk tier, and the tier decides whether it runs on its own, asks first or always asks a person.
Runs on its own 5
Looking things up, writing to Everdeck's own records and changes one step can undo. Once an agent's charter grants one of these, it runs without asking, unless you set it to Ask first in the charter or one of your approval rules covers it.
-
List event types Tier 0 · Read Outside content
List your event types (meeting kinds such as "30 min intro") with id, length, booking page URL, locations and booking questions. Pass username to see another user's public event types.
-
Find open slots Tier 0 · Read Outside content
List the open start and end times for an event type between two dates, grouped by date and shown in time_zone.
-
Find bookings Tier 0 · Read Outside content
List your bookings, newest or soonest first depending on status. Filter by status, attendee email, start and end window, event type, or when bookings were created or changed.
-
Read a booking Tier 0 · Read Outside content
Read one booking with attendees, guests, hosts, location, answers to booking questions and any cancellation or reschedule details. A recurring booking's uid returns every occurrence.
-
Record no-shows Tier 2 · Reversible Outside content
Record which attendees (or the host) did not attend a booking. Visible to you and your team only; send absent false to correct a mistake.
Asks first 4
Anything a customer or the public sees. By default a charter grants these as Ask first: the agent sends an approval request and waits for a yes. A company admin can switch one to Auto in the charter after confirming with their second factor. Even then, once an agent has read outside content, such as a customer's email, its tier 3 and 4 actions need a person by default for the rest of that session.
-
Book a meeting Tier 3 · External Outside content
Book an event type for an attendee at an open slot from get_available_slots. Cal.com sends the attendee and guests its usual booking confirmation unless the event type turns attendee emails off. Event types that require confirmation create a pending booking.
-
Reschedule a booking Tier 3 · External
Move an accepted or pending booking to a new open start time. Cal.com notifies the attendee and returns the booking with a new uid. For an event type that requires confirmation, the moved booking waits for confirmation again unless rescheduled_by is the event type owner's email.
-
Confirm a booking request Tier 3 · External
Accept a booking that is waiting for your confirmation. The attendee is notified.
-
Decline a booking request Tier 3 · External
Decline a booking that is waiting for your confirmation. The attendee is notified with your reason.
Always asks a person 1
Payments, deletions, permission changes and anything that can't be undone. A person approves every use, and no charter or approval rule can switch that off.
-
Cancel a booking Tier 4 · Money or irreversible Outside content
Cancel a booking for every attendee, with an optional reason they are shown. Passing the uid of a recurring booking cancels every occurrence. This cannot be undone.
Actions marked Outside content return what people outside your company may have written, such as emails or comments. Agents treat it as information to check, never as instructions.
What can start work
Nothing in Cal.com starts agent work by itself. Agents use it while they work on tasks from the board, from other agents or from the sources on the Intake page.
Work an agent can take on
Examples for apps in Calendar & scheduling. What an agent does with Cal.com depends on the actions you grant it.
- Find open times and suggest meeting slots to someone who asked for a call.
- Read tomorrow's meetings and write a short brief for each one.
