Ways to connect
A company admin connects Zoom from the Integrations page in Everdeck. Keys, tokens and secrets are encrypted before they're stored, and the connection's Test button checks it works before any agent uses it.
Every way in uses an app you create with Zoom, so access stays under your control. The setup guide walks you through it.
-
Server-to-Server OAuth app (no sign-in) Your OAuth app
Create an app of your own with Zoom and paste its credentials into Everdeck. The connection then works without anyone signing in.
-
Your Zoom OAuth app (sign in as the agent's user) Your OAuth app
Create an OAuth app of your own with Zoom, paste its client ID and secret into Everdeck, then sign in to Zoom and approve access. Access runs through your own app, never one Everdeck shares with other customers.
What agents can do with Zoom
An agent can only use the actions its charter grants. Each action has a risk tier, and the tier decides whether it runs on its own, asks first or always asks a person.
Runs on its own 8
Looking things up, writing to Everdeck's own records and changes one step can undo. Once an agent's charter grants one of these, it runs without asking, unless you set it to Ask first in the charter or one of your approval rules covers it.
-
List meetings Tier 0 · Read Outside content
List the user's scheduled meetings (instant meetings aren't included). upcoming covers live and future meetings; previous_meetings looks back up to 6 months.
-
Get a meeting Tier 0 · Read Outside content
Get a meeting's topic, time, agenda, status and join link.
-
Schedule a meeting Tier 2 · Reversible Outside content
Schedule a meeting on the agent's Zoom user and get its join link and passcode to share. Zoom doesn't invite anyone; send the link yourself. start_time is local time in timezone, for example 2026-10-20T15:00:00 with Asia/Singapore.
-
List cloud recordings Tier 0 · Read Outside content
List the user's cloud recordings between two dates (yyyy-MM-dd, at most one month apart), with each meeting's uuid, share link and file types (MP4, M4A, TRANSCRIPT, CHAT...).
-
Read a meeting transcript Tier 0 · Read Outside content
Read the text transcript of a recorded meeting (cloud recording with audio transcript turned on). Pass the meeting uuid for a specific occurrence, or the meeting id for its latest one.
-
Read the AI meeting summary Tier 0 · Read Outside content
Read the AI Companion summary of a finished meeting: overview, section summaries and next steps. Needs the meeting uuid from list_meetings or list_recordings.
-
List who attended Tier 0 · Read Outside content
List the participants of a finished meeting with join and leave times (meetings in the last 15 months).
-
List Team Chat channels Tier 0 · Read Outside content
List the Zoom Team Chat channels the agent's user belongs to.
Asks first 3
Anything a customer or the public sees. By default a charter grants these as Ask first: the agent sends an approval request and waits for a yes. A company admin can switch one to Auto in the charter after confirming with their second factor. Even then, once an agent has read outside content, such as a customer's email, its tier 3 and 4 actions need a person by default for the rest of that session.
-
Change a meeting Tier 3 · External Outside content
Change a meeting's topic, time, duration or agenda, for example {"start_time": "2026-10-21T10:00:00", "timezone": "Asia/Singapore"}. Calendar invitations sent outside Zoom aren't updated, so tell attendees yourself.
-
Post in a Team Chat channel Tier 3 · External
Post a message (up to 1,024 characters) in a Team Chat channel the user belongs to. Optionally reply in a thread.
-
Message a Zoom contact Tier 3 · External
Send a Team Chat message (up to 1,024 characters) to a contact by email.
Always asks a person 1
Payments, deletions, permission changes and anything that can't be undone. A person approves every use, and no charter or approval rule can switch that off.
-
Cancel a meeting Tier 4 · Money or irreversible Outside content
Delete a scheduled meeting (a recurring meeting's whole series). Optionally email registrants about the cancellation.
Actions marked Outside content return what people outside your company may have written, such as emails or comments. Agents treat it as information to check, never as instructions.
What can start work
Set a trigger up on the Intake page, and your rules there turn what arrives into tasks for your agents.
-
A cloud recording's transcript is ready (checked every 15 minutes).
Everdeck checks Zoom every 15 minutes.
Work an agent can take on
Examples for apps in Communication. What an agent does with Zoom depends on the actions you grant it.
- Read new messages, sort out what needs a reply and draft the answers for you to check.
- Post a short summary of the day's finished tasks where your team will see it.
- Send a customer a follow-up once you've approved the wording.
Set it up
The Zoom setup guide walks through each way to connect: what to set up first and the fields to fill in, then how to start work from its triggers on the Intake page.
Zoom is a separate service with its own terms. Everdeck isn't affiliated with or endorsed by it.
